Priorities are physical and tangible interaction, internet of things and mobile design patterns, image schemata for industrial products and user interfaces. At the beginning of my career I was several years in the field of Industrial Design with a handcraft education. That´s one reason that I´m fascinated in Design for Physical Interaction, all around nui/ tui. On the other hand the courses includes usability and design methods in the user experience design process and recherche in the field of emerging technologies. The Prototyping Lab has been extended by a User Experience Lab with a Tobii Eyetracker.
Before, I have been a deputy professor for Interface Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Dessau at the Bauhaus. As a researcher for Interface Design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam I established the Research Lab// IDL for Interface Design: eyetracking and UX Design. I worked for meta design [service design & information systems], bvm [game design] and icon [mobile design]. I was a PHD at the University of Technology of Berlin, ZMMS, at the center of Man-Machine Systems, Institute for Psychology and Ergonomics. In China I has been a visiting professor in the CDK/ Academy of Arts in Hangzhou and in the UK at the Leeds College of Art. Industry collaborations: carmeq Berlin, UID/ User Interface Design Berlin, Telecom Labs or UBA/ Federal Environmental Agency, germany.
